Background

Brent Long—better known as “Coach Long”—is a seasoned sales coach with deep roots in collegiate athletics and a proven track record of business impact. After a spinal injury ended his playing career, Brent turned to coaching, eventually bringing his discipline and drive into the world of sales leadership. His clients’ results are striking: one grew from $3.5M to $22M in under five years; another made the INC. 500 list twice. His passion is helping revenue-generators thrive while challenging outdated sales stereotypes. Most recently, he launched his book, The Greatest Sales Question Ever Asked, with a special event at his own Longhaven Retreat.

The Challenge

Brent was preparing to host a high-profile networking event and book signing for over 80 business leaders. The event featured multiple speaker blocks and 15 sponsors that needed on-site visibility and stage presence. From event design to day-of execution, Brent needed a partner to handle both the technical and creative load—ensuring audio, visuals, brand alignment, and coordination would support the professional, engaging atmosphere he envisioned.

He also needed confidence that day-of logistics—like vendor placement, sound tech, sponsor recognition, and speaker transitions—would run seamlessly, with someone to adapt quickly if plans shifted (as they did when weather forced the event indoors).

The Solution

To bring Brent’s vision to life, we knew the event needed more than just equipment—it required thoughtful execution, seamless logistics, and a team prepared to adapt in real time. From initial planning to last-minute pivots, our role was to eliminate distractions so Brent could focus on connecting with his audience and elevating his brand. Here’s what we provided:

Audio & Visual

Provided wireless handheld mics, lapel mics, speakers, displays, and full A/V equipment setup.

Event Pivot

When weather shifted the event indoors, we reconfigured staging and aesthetics using black tarps, a mobile backdrop, and lighting solutions to create a clean, professional look in a less-than-ideal indoor space.

Sponsor Activation

Designed and managed sponsor slides, gathered branding assets through intake forms, and created a display loop for event recognition.

Run of Show Development

Helped craft a smooth and engaging flow with speaker blocks, an MC, and transitions that felt polished and intentional.

Media Coverage

Deployed a 4-camera video crew to capture both a highlight reel and long-form keynote footage.

Atmosphere

Curated pre-session background music to maintain energy without overwhelming the space during networking time.

Results

The event exceeded expectations, delivering a professional, well-run experience that matched Brent’s high standards. Sponsors were prominently featured, the run of show flowed seamlessly, and guests left energized and inspired.

Despite the location change, our media team captured a visually stunning event recap and a clean long-form keynote recording that can be reused across Brent’s platforms. The non-intrusive musical ambiance during networking helped set the tone, while smooth technical execution allowed the focus to stay on the content and community.

Key Takeaways

Having a trusted production team allowed Brent to focus on his guests and message, not logistics.

Flexible planning and onsite adaptability protected the event’s excellence, even with unexpected challenges.

Great events require more than great content—they need sound, visuals, pacing, and atmosphere working in sync.

The final deliverables extended the life of the event—providing digital assets Brent can use for future marketing and credibility.
